Early Career Engineering Program
We’re excited to launch our brand new hybrid office program for early career professionals with a background in computer science.
Choose to work out of one of our offices (New York, Chicago, or San Francisco) and participate in our direct mentorship program. This first year of this program requires you to work out of the office three days a week—Tuesday through Thursday—collaborating with your team, early career Affirmers, and your engineering mentor.
You'll be paired with an engineering mentor who’ll work alongside you and meet with you weekly.
Experience the best of both worlds: a collaborative in-office experience and flexible remote work. After the one-year program, you can remain hybrid, go fully remote, or work in an office.
Internships
Affirm is a remote-first company, and we’re now hosting our interns remotely. We pride ourselves on keeping the health, safety, and well-being of our employees top of mind while creating meaningful and memorable moments.
Our program is structured holistically to offer the components we feel make an internship a valuable opportunity. You’ll have the opportunity to network and meet awesome mentors, participate in fun and engaging remote events, and create a meaningful impact through your work.
Some past intern projects include:
Building the batch pipelines for Affirm’s in-store product, and implementing integration systems that reported users’ loan activities at Walmart. Additionally, building mass marketing emails for Walmart’s launch across all U.S. supercenters.
Building a bank portal aggregate tool to allow accounting to pull ledger data more efficiently. Decreased run time by over 97%, resulting in cleaner code.
Rebuilt the merchant browser page of iOS with a new UI, and a more robust codebase and architecture to seamlessly fit in with Shop V3 and future updates to the iOS app.
